Chapter 4 : Research

He quickly packed his bag and started walking towards the nearest car rental shop. He rented a car for few months, and started driving towards the spot of accident mentioned in the article. The accident spot was quite far from his home. After about 2 hours he finally reached the area. He got out of the car and started walking around while trying to recollect anything familiar in his mind. But everything seemed new, as if he came here for the first time. “I should probabily go to the nearest town and ask the people living there if they remember anything”.

                                              So, he drove to the downtown and started showing the article to the people and asking if they know anything about it. The people were not of much help. But one thing that he realized, that there was an accident. It was night time until he finished. “I’m too far to drive back to my home. I’ll stay in a hotel today and continue tomorrow” he thought. He parked his car to the nearest hotel and booked a room.

                                                The next day, he got ready, ate some breakfast and started driving towards the accident stot. While driving he realized that a particular car was following him from a long time. He igonored it and started investigating the spot for any clues. “Are you having trouble recollecting the accident?” he heard a voice from behind. “Yes! Can you help me?” He asked the person. “come with me” Said he “Ill tell you everything”.

Chapter 3 – An Old Accident

He was feeling a little dizzy; and shocked of course. “I’m okay! Don’t worry!” he tried to explain the policeman and the people. The policeman helped him home and he thanked him for that. He sat on the edge of his bed, trying to recollect what just happened. He ate the last bits of his medicine and thought “I should just sleep for some time. I’m going mad!” and by thinking this, he went straight to his bed and slept. After an hour or so, he woke up and started walking towards the kitchen to drink some water. When he opens the drawer to get a glass, he saw an old newspaper. And on the front page, he read his name: “A Miraculous escape of Jack Maltin” “Miraculous escape! From What?!” he exclaimed while picking up the newspaper to read the article. The article stated that he had met with an accident and got lost. But was found 100 days later at sector 27 of Ohio. “AN ACCIDENT?! But I don’t remember anything about an accident!”. “100 Days! I would know if I got lost for 100 days wouldn’t I !?”. “I need to explore more on this”  

Chapter 2 – Surprise

He was shocked. “Where am I?!” Exclaimed he. “UGH! This smell is going to kill me!” He was right though; The horrible smell was enough to kill a person. He was very courageous, so he decided to follow his footsteps that were leading in a different direction. He started following his footsteps, slowly, and wondered “Wait a minute! These are not leading to the market! How in the name of god is it possible?!”. He was scared, he had to admit that. His surroundings were peaky. Dark, Horrifying smell, Roaring noises made him scared. “I just wanna get outta here!”. But seeing his surroundings, there was no way he could get out. Suddenly, he felt some strange movement in the sky. He looked up and saw a large creature, rising and increasing in shape. After seeing this, his blood ran cold and he started screaming on the top of his voice. A minute later, he opens his eyes, and realizes that he is screaming in the middle of the market, with the people and a policeman around him asking what happened.

Chapter 1 – Different Directions

Jack was irritated. His alarm clock had woken him up early on a weekend. “UHH! SHUT THE HELL UP!” groaned Jack while hitting the alarm to a close. He woke up from his bed, and went towards the washroom to get refreshed. He came out and went towards the kitchen to make a bowl of cereal. He looks around for a while and realizes “Oh Shoot! I forgot to bring more milk.” “Well, let me just go and get some”. He wore his jacket, for it is snowing, and proceeds towards the nearest shop to get some milk. He soon comes back with his favorite pack of milk, and proceeded towards making his breakfast. He makes a large bowl of cereal starts eating it. He eats it quickly, as he was hungry, and starts walking towards a drawer to eat his medicine. “I’m such an idiot” He says, exclaimed “My regular medicines are over. I could’ve bought more when I went out for milk. Well, I guess ill have to go again.” He wears his jacket again and walks out of his house, but what he sees! His footsteps from earlier lead in a different direction. When he looks up, he realizes, his surroundings have changed. Its much darker and dirty. Roaring voices can be heard all over the world.

I used to drown
Being underwater
It was a strain
Fighting for air
Fighting to swim
Something held me down
Kept me from breathing
I tried to float, but always sank.
I had no escape
Drowing underwater
But I still love you

You saved me
Confronted my fears
Taught me I could breathe
Taught me I could swim
Taught me I could laugh
You showed me kindness
Showed me happiness
Gave my life a meaning

But you broke my friendship

Why?
Was I not smart enough
Was I not fit enough
Was I not worthy
Did I ask too much
Did I give you pain
But I still love you.

And now I’m drowning
And realizing

Stopping me from breathing
From calling help

Your words grab my ankles
Pulling me down

Covid Covid Covid, why do thou kill?!

The sunny playground once was filled with kids, now looks bleak.

Why Our once wide world, looks so desperate?

Covid Covid Covid, why do thou kill?!

The question is silly, even toddler answerable.

Cause, there’s a monster out there, making life hell.

Coughs and sneezes are like a private jet

To your lungs, it’s a threat.

We who prefer to eat in group, are now separated,

From friends, family.

Covid Covid Covid, why do thou kill?!

We prefer to stay at home

Wearing a mask.

No going out

No school

No child’s playing in the park

We used to giggle and play

On the swings and slides

But now, we’re caged!

Covid Covid Covid, why do thou kill?!

But one day it will all end

When we will go out

Throwing away our mask

Getting out of the cage

Playing in the park again

Going school again

That day will arrive

Sooner or later, but will arrive

Come on my friends, let’s await that day!

Part 1: The Hike

Me, Liam, my sister Charlotte, and Liam’s sister Emma. We all are best friends. We all are living in street no 275, Alabama. We all were best friends since school, Never parting. I was a bit shy though, to talk in front of the school, give any speech and stuff like that. So, these are the ONLY friends whom I talked to. They all are good friends. Fun, laughter, pranks were common between us.

                                         Now it’s 15 August 2021, we all are finally going to graduate from high school! We all are so happy. These many years of studying, and finally we are going to graduate. Today, was the last day of us sleeping in the hostel. That night Charlotte asked “Hey guys! Why don’t we do one thing? We got 2 months holidays. So, why don’t we go on a hiking trip? It may be the last time we see each other again”

“That’s not a bad idea!” Liam agreed. All four of us agreed. “There is a mountain, called “The Radios”. I’ve heard of it just today. We can go there.” “Right” Charlotte agreed with the rest.

This night we are barely gonna sleep. All of us were busy packing up. Now it is the next day where we are boarding the bus and starting our journey to Radios. The journey time was 6 hours. I just closed my eyes along with the others, as I had no other option to pass my time.

When I opened my eyes, I saw we were 5 mins to reach the Radios. I woke up all of my friends. Until they woke, we reached our destination. I was so happy. The fresh air, greenery, I had never seen these many trees before. We all got down the bus. “We should probably start setting up our tents, it will be night time soon,” Said Liam. We all agreed on the fact as it is 7:30 already, it will start to get dark in the next half an hour. We started setting up tents. I and my sister are setting up our camp while Liam and his sister are setting up theirs.

 Now it’s 8 pm, and we all finally installed our tents. None of us was hungry, so we decided to go to sleep. This night I slept excited to go on the hike.

Now it’s the next morning, 6:30 am, and we all wore up at the same time. We all packed our bags, got some food, and started our journey towards the mountain.

In the 1^st 1 hour, everything is going pretty well. We all are excited, energetic. This is my first hiking trip. I have never been able to go on a hike. “Hey, guys! I think you all should see this!” Emma is calling us. we all started running towards her. When I am here, I can see very large footprints. “These are not of an ordinary human. They are the footprints of some large animal” I said. But this is not only the footprint, we can see multiple, leading towards a direction. “I think we should follow it,” charlotte said. We all agreed and slowly started to walk, following the prints.

                          A few minutes passed by, when I noticed a castle right in front of us. Before we all could move any further, an old man stopped us. He is saying “No! DO NOT enter the castle!”

“But? Why??” we all asked, Confused.

Part 2: The Truth Reveals

Yes! Finally, Baldwin found Calvin’s house. He was so excited to know that what happened to him on that island. He proceeded towards the mansion and knocked on his door. Soon Calvin responded. He opened the door and he was shocked to find out Baldwin on his door. Baldwin said, happily “Hello!” Calvin invited him inside his house and offered him a cup of tea. Calvin asked him “so, how did you find my house?” Baldwin told him his story. Baldwin asked him “why did you do that to me, Calvin? Hmm?” Calvin finally decided to tell him the WHOLE truth. Calvin said “you also conned us a lot, didn’t you? You acted as our friend and conned a lot of my and all of my friend’s money. So we all made a plan. I am a movie director. You are a con artist. We decided to purchase a set and decided to make a movie, including you as the main character. Yes, all of the mine you went in, all the gold, diamonds, minecarts, the island, all of them were nothing but MERELY a movie set. You smartly conned us, so we decided to con you the same way you did to us. While you were exploring the mine, we were shooting our movie, which is now in the most trending movies of all time.”

Part 1: In search of Calvin

Here was Baldwin, lying on his bed, wondering something. He recently had a confusing experience. He was wondering what had Calvin done. “ I must go in the search of Calvin, I must find out the truth,” Baldwin said. Baldwin really wanted to search Calvin, But he did not know where he was living. He only knew that he is living in New Jersey. So, knowing that, he had made a plan to leave for New Jersey, to go in search of Calvin. And without a second thought, he boarded his car and started driving it in the direction of New Jersey. It was 100 km away from his home, so he would be gone for a really long time. He started driving, and soon in 5 hrs, he finally reached his destination, New Jersey. So he parked his car in a large empty area and started walking on the streets of New Jersey. He realized that he didn’t know where Calvin was living, so he was walking in the street, searching for him. After walking for a while, he found a large mansion and a signboard outside it. The signboard read “ Calvin Smith”.

Part 3: I get out, Mysteriously.

I was too shocked too even move. I found an ancient mineshaft. I was really excited, I want to enter this mineshaft. I started walking towards the mine and I saw a tunnel that leads to the mineshaft, probably. I was very careful while walking around this tunnel, I wanted to make sure I don’t trip and fall anywhere. I turned towards my right and I saw an electric switchboard. I was a bit confused with the number of switches on this board. I didn’t know which switch should I press. There was a lever on this switchboard, so I decide that I should probably pull this lever. I just pray to god that nothing should went wrong . I was scared, but I got no other option. I wa slowly pulling the lever. I pulled the lever. Finally! Yes! At least nothing wrong happened. That lever just turned the light of the mine on. I slowly started to walk towards the end of this tunnel. I was able to see all the gold ores, diamond ores, and rubies. I was also able to see a minecart. My excitement levels were at an all-time high. “I want to ride this minecart,” I said and I ran towards it. I boarded the minecart, and I can see a lever, so I pulled the lever and the minecart ran forward at full speed. This is the best day of my life, but not anymore. I can see a large hole leading down, straight to death. I screamed” aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa” and tried to stop the minecart, but it didn’t stop. I was continuously trying to stop the minecart when I am starting to fall into the hole. I closed my eyes and waiting to reach down. I fell down but I can feel a soft cushion under me. I quickly got up to my legs and saw that I got out of the mine, and found myself in a large tea garden. I also found a note lying on the cushion. I picked it up, and read it. It says “How was the surprise boomer. From Calvin” I was confused. Calvin is my friend. Did he make this whole trip?
